Richard Vohden is a former Sussex County Commissioner, former member of the Board of Trustees for the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority and former member of the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Association of Counties.

Mr. Vohden's extensive experience also includes serving as Chairman of the Green Township Environmental Committee for 20 years, a member of the Green Township Planning Board for 15 years, and a member and past chairman of the Township Open Space Committee.

He served for 7 years as Chairman of the Sussex County Open Space Committee, 7 years as a member and past Chairman of the Sussex County Planning Board, 4 years as a District Supervisor of the Sussex County Soil Conservation District, and was a member of the County Strategic Growth Committee.

Mr. Vohden has been farming in Green Township since 1983, full-time for the last 27 years. Prior to farming, he worked for 35 years in the construction industry; the last 17 years managing a commercial subcontracting company.

Mr. Vohden is a veteran, having served 16 months in Korea. He is a member of the NJ Farm Bureau, the NJ Forestry Association, the League of Municipalities, his Township Historical Society, and the VFW. He was previously a Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor, and a junior league wrestling coach.
