"Rescue worker Kevin Stewart, a team leader of Task Force One, the state's urban search and rescue team, presented [then Acting Governor DiFrancesco] with the New Jersey and U.S. flags that DiFrancesco had taken the task force as they searched through the World Trade Center rubble. Stewart asked the flags be flown atop the statehouse."
