Troopers Shut Down Drug Production Facility In Elizabeth
Elizabeth, N.J. - On Thursday, February 20, members of the New Jersey State Police Weapons Trafficking
Unit, T.E.A.M.S. Unit, K-9 Unit, Strategic Investigations Unit, and Metro North Unit executed a search warrant at 25
Butler Street, 1st Floor. The result of the search led to the arrest of four individuals and a seizure of drugs
valued at $243,850.
The investigation was headed by Det. II Hugo Ribeiro of the New Jersey State Police, Weapons Trafficking Unit.
During the course of the investigation, Det. Ribeiro was able to develop information that led to the search warrant of
the Butler Street home. Troopers from the New Jersey State Police T.E.A.M.S. Unit made entry into the residence without
encountering any resistance.
The following individuals were found inside at the time the warrant was executed. Jose Correa, 43, Santa
Lantigua, 42, Alfred Lantigua-Delacruz, 21, and Siamel Perez, 25, all of Elizabeth, were arrested without incident.
Inside the home, detectives discovered a fully functioning heroin production facility. Detectives confiscated heroin,
cocaine, and various paraphernalia that is used in the manufacturing and selling of drugs. Among the items seized
inside were:
- 2.6 kilograms of heroin, ($210,000 value)
- 825 grams of cocaine, ($30,000 value)
- 154 Percocet pills, ($3,850 value)
- $24, 070 U.S. currency
- 3 televisions
- 2 laptops
- 1 ipad
- 1 Dell computer
- 6 cellular phones
- Drug paraphernalia: presses, stamps, glassine envelopes, sealers
Jose Correa was charged with Maintain or Operate a CDS Production Facility, Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession
of CDS Cocaine, Intent to Distribute Heroin, Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia,
Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs, Tampering With Evidence, Possession Within 1000' of a School Zone, and
Conspiracy. He was lodged at the Union County Jail in default of $300,000 no 10%.
Santa Lantigua was charged with Maintain or Operate a CDS Production Facility, Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of
CDS Cocaine, Intent to Distribute Heroin, Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia, Possession of
Prescription Legend Drugs, Possession Within 1000' of a School Zone, and Conspiracy. She was lodged at the Union County Jail
in default of $300,000 no 10%.
Alfred Lantigua-Delacruz was charged with Maintain or Operate a CDS Production Facility, Possession of CDS Heroin,
Possession of CDS Cocaine, Intent to Distribute Heroin, Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia,
Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs, Possession Within 1000' of a School Zone, and Conspiracy. He was lodged at the
Union County Jail in default of $300,000 no 10%.
Siamel Perez was charged with Maintain or Operate a CDS Production Facility, Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of
CDS Cocaine, Intent to Distribute Heroin, Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia, Possession of
Prescription Legend Drugs, Possession Within 1000' of a School Zone, and Conspiracy. He was lodged at the Union County Jail
in default of $300,000 no 10%.
The case will be prosecuted by the Division of Criminal Justice.
Charges are mere accusations and the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
