State Police Arrest Middletown Couple For Drug Distribution
and Large Cache of Illegal Weapons
Middletown Twp, Monmouth County NJ - After a collaborative multi-jurisdictional-interstate narcotics investigation, a Middletown couple are under arrest and facing serious charges including drug distribution, illegal weapons and ammunition, and endangering the welfare of children.
The investigation was led by detectives from the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) Troop 'D' Criminal Investigation Office. This was a cooperative effort between the NJSP, Maryland State Police McHenry Barracks, and Middletown Police Department Detective Bureau.
The investigation culminated in the early morning hours of Friday, May 18th with the execution of a search warrant at a residence on the 500 block of Clubhouse Drive in Middletown. Detectives arrested Edwin Class Jr. 30, and Michelle Galioto 28, who lived in the house with their two children. Assisting with the arrests were members of the NJSP TEAMS, Canine, and Weapons Trafficking Unit, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, and Division of Youth and Family Services.
Numerous illegal weapons and narcotics were seized from the home, including: 5 assault-type rifles and 6 handguns. Two of the weapons were reported stolen from Georgia and Kentucky. Over 800 rounds of ammunition and 34 high-capacity magazines were taken as evidence.
Detectives seized cocaine, marijuana, xanax, oxycontin, and ecstacy with a street value of over $22,000. Over $1,000 dollars in suspected drug proceeds were seized, in addition to items related to narcotics distribution activities.

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Receiving Stolen Property
- Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia
- Endangering the Welfare of Children
Michelle Galioto has been charged with the following:

- Possession of PLD's w/Intent to Distribute
- Possession of CDS; cocaine, marijuana, PLD's, & ecstasy

The Honorable Judge Thomas F. Scully of the Monmouth County Superior Court set the bail for Edwin Class Jr. at $762,000 full cash and $730,000 full cash for Michelle Galioto. They have both been lodged at the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of bail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
