Troopers Nab Fugitive Wanted For Assault Caught on Video In NYC
Secaucus, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police arrested Corey Pohan, 32, of Bergenfield, N.J., after
he climbed onto the rooftop of the 16E/18E toll plaza on the New Jersey Turnpike. The arrest occurred on Wednesday,
July 9, at approximately 3:30 p.m., after he exited an unmarked NYPD car.
NYPD detectives were transporting Pohan to the Midtown North Precinct. When they reached the 16E/18E toll plaza,
Pohan, who was not under arrest, got out of the car in an area restricted to pedestrians.
Trooper Christopher Durning responded to the scene and located Pohan hiding on the roof of the toll plaza where he was
taken into custody. Pohan was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and transported to Newark Station for processing.
While at the station, troopers learned that Pohan was wanted person out of New York. He was charged with Criminal
Trespassing pending a court date. In addition, he was charged as a Fugitive from Justice and lodged at the Hudson
County Jail on a no-bail warrant pending extradition to New York.
