JUVENILE JUSTICE COMMISSION EMPLOYEE EARNS "WORKER OF THE YEAR" AWARD
- Assistant Superintendent of Atlantic County Detention Center Recognized for Excellence -

The New Jersey Detention Association recently presented Wayne Ford of Glassboro with its Worker of the Year Award. The award was presented at the annual New Jersey Juvenile Detention Association's training conference in Atlantic City in September.

Ford is the Assistant Superintendent of the Atlantic County Juvenile Detention Center which is operated by the Juvenile Justice Commission through a contractual agreement.

The "Worker of the Year" awards are presented by the NJJDA to recognize an outstanding staff member in each of the 17 juvenile detention centers in the State of New Jersey. This award includes a $50.00 savings bond for each honoree.

Mr. Ford was chosen from among his colleagues and peers on the staff of the Atlantic County Juvenile Detention Center. He has been employed by the State of New Jersey since 1989 holding positions such as social worker. He has served as Assistant Superintendent since 1995.
