The NJ Transit Section provides general legal counsel and representation to the New Jersey Transit Corporation and its rail and bus operating subsidiaries. As the nation's third largest provider of bus, rail and light rail transit, NJ Transit seeks to provide safe, reliable, convenient, and cost-effective transit services. Deputies in the NJ Transit Section counsel and represent NJ Transit in a wide variety of practice areas, including state and federal litigation, administrative hearings and arbitrations, human resources and union issues, procurement and contracting matters, real estate transactions, the Open Public Records Act, and bus and rail operations generally.
