Proposal
Summary:
The Juvenile Justice Commission (Commission)
is proposing to amend N.J.A.C. 13:101.
The
notice of proposal was published in the
New Jersey Register on January 7, 2008.
The Commission proposes to amend Chapter
101, its rule governing juvenile discipline,
to have juvenile disciplinary hearings conducted
by an independent hearing officer, employed
and trained by it, rather than by a four-member
supervisory Treatment Team that presently
conducts such hearings at its secure facilities.
