59 Bowling Alleys (Boleras) citadas por violación de la Ley Estatal de Licenciamiento de Rifas

NEWARK- La Comisión de Control de Juegos del Azar Legalizados (Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission o LGCCC), que regula las rifas y bingos, ha citado a 59 boleras a través del estado por conducir rifas de 50/50 en violación de la Ley de Licenciamiento y sus regularizaciones.

Cada bolera tiene la opción de admitir la violación y pagar una multa de $3,000 y ponerse en cumplimiento con la ley. El agente o dueño de la bolera tiene la opción de pedir una audiencia administrativa formal para disputar la violación.

Bajo la ley del estado (N.J.S.A. 5:8-51), organizaciones de veteranos, religiosas, de caridad u organizaciones cívicas y clubes de servicios, pueden conducir rifas además de otras organizaciones como educacionales y de hermandad, clubes y organizaciones de ciudadanos mayores de edad, bomberos voluntarios y equipos voluntarios de primera asistencia

"Las boleras citadas no califican bajo los requisitos para tener rifas", dijo el Director de la División de Asuntos del Consumidor David Szuchman. Él encomienda a los investigadores de la LGCCC por esta iniciativa de implementación estatal.

Los investigadores de la LGCCC fueron a todas las 73 boleras de Nueva Jersey entre Septiembre del 2008 y Enero del 2009. Cada bolera fue inspeccionada por lo menos dos veces Las boleras citadas vendieron o permitieron que se vendieran los tiques de rifa de 50/50 a los miembros de la liga o al publico en general.
