WHAT:
Inside the historic rail terminal that was the entry point for millions of immigrants starting their lives in the United States, Attorney General Grewal announces a statewide directive establishing new rules governing when and how state, county, and local law enforcement officers in New Jersey can assist federal immigration authorities. The “Immigrant Trust Directive” is designed to strengthen trust between New Jersey’s law enforcement officers and our diverse immigrant communities, ensuring greater safety and security for all.
