TRENTON -- The Division on Civil Rights has proposed new rules and rule amendments to facilitate a new case filing and management system scheduled to be operative this coming fall. The proposed rule amendments are to N.J.A.C. 13:4, which governs practices and procedures for accepting, investigating, and managing complaints.
DCR’s proposed amendments and new rules update procedures for the filing of complaints, answers, position statements, requests for extensions and motions, and the serving of subpoenas. The amendments and new rules also lay out procedures by which attorneys and parties to investigations can file and receive documents, as well as communicate electronically with DCR staff.
The proposed amendments and information on how to submit a comment by October 16, 2020 can be viewed here.
