Troopers Arrest Suspected Mob Soldier And Seize 65 Pounds of Marijuana
Montville, N.J. - On Saturday, January 25th, troopers stopped a black Dodge Ram pick up truck. A
subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered 65 pounds of marijuana.
The driver of the truck, Carlo Taccetta, 41, of Whippany, N.J. was arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses.
An ongoing investigation led troopers to stop the pick up truck on West Bloomfield Avenue in Montville. During
the stop, Taccetta granted troopers permission to search his vehicle. It was during the search of his vehicle when
troopers found the marijuana. Carlo Taccetta is a suspected soldier in the Lucchese Crime Family and is the son of
Michael Taccetta a suspected capo in the Lucchese Crime Family.
Taccetta was charged with Possession of CDS Marijuana and Possession of CDS Marijuana, with Intent to Distribute.
He was lodged in the Morris County Jail on $75,000.00 bail with no 10% option. The case will be prosecuted by the
Division of Criminal Justice.
Charges are merely accusations and the suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty.
