Troopers Arrest Atlantic City Man for
Hainesport Bank Robbery
Hainesport Township, Burlington County, N.J. – State troopers arrested an Atlantic City man for the robbery of the Fulton
Bank of New Jersey, located on State Highway 38.
On Friday, June 28, troopers from Bordentown Station and detectives from the Troop C Criminal Investigation Office responded
to the Fulton Bank of New Jersey to investigate a bank robbery reported at 9:55 a.m.
Mandel Aikens, 26, of Atlantic City is accused of entering the bank and passing a note to an employee demanding money. Aikens
was given an undisclosed amount of cash. He walked out of the bank and fled in a car.
Alert bank employees were able to provide the vehicle and license plate description to responding troopers. Detectives learned
that the vehicle, a beige Chevy Impala was rented by Aikens from a business in Galloway Township, Atlantic County. On Saturday,
June 29, troopers located and arrested Aikens while he was returning the car. Additional evidence linking Aikens to the robbery
was also recovered.
Mandel Aikens was charged with Robbery and Theft. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with bail set at $50,000
full cash.
