I was honored to attend the plaque unveiling of Thomas Mundy Peterson from Perth Amboy. He was the first African American to vote the day after the 15th amendment was ratified. I was awed and humbled being in attendance of such a historic moment. The plaque unveiling was held at:

The OFBI conducted its Social Entrepreneurship Enterprise Development (SE2D) pitch. A total of 11 nonprofit organizations were invited to the pitch. The largest cohort invited to the SE2D pitch. The organization invited were:

I had the honor and privilege to visit the Gracious Center for Learning and Enrichment Activities (GCLEA) in Cherry Hill and I participated in the Dhuhr (afternoon prayer). Afterwards, I had a great meeting with Tahoe Qazi, Asia Yunis, & Muqaddas Ejaz.
Thanks to the NJ Head Start Association for asking me to help coordinate and facilitate a funders panel during its annual conference.
I had a great time attending and being a panel member of a Funders Panel at the Mid-Atlantic Grants Conference hosted by the Grant Professionals Association at Rutgers University. A lot of good information was shared in all the workshops and panels.
Met up with old friends and made new ones.
Proud to be at attendance at Governor Murphy’s bill signing for Equal Pay For Women. It was humbling to hear Lilly Ledbetter share her story of her journey to get Equal Pay For Women. It’s a historic day.
It was a pleasure attending the 8th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration, U.S. Senator Bob Menendez presented the Evangelina Menendez Trailblazer Award: Honoring New Jersey Women for Exceptional Achievements.

There were over 200 students and parents being introduced to STEM concepts and both students and their parents were actively participating. This is Jazlyn Carvajal, Co-Founder of Latinas in Stem.
I had a great time attending the historic gathering of Latino ministers and pastors to discuss the issues in the Latino communities and how the Northeast Regional Council is working to ensure that community members are finding employment working in the local unions.
