The Friends of the New Jersey State Museum has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the PNC Foundation to teach area children lessons in spending, sharing and saving while providing parents with resources to reinforce the lessons at home.

The New Jersey Historical Commission met on July 21, 2011 in Trenton and approved $2,355,000 in General Operating Support grants to a total of 75 historical organizations, museums, historic sites, archives and libraries throughout New Jersey.
