Due to the current public health emergency, the New Jersey State Museum will be closed to the public until further notice. All special events have been cancelled through April 30. If possible, they will be rescheduled for a later date.
For any specific inquiries, please visit nj.gov/health or call the 24-hour hotline at 1-800-222-1222.
While the Museum is closed due to the public health emergency, we are bringing you the Small Explorers program online! New videos are posted on Saturdays; follow us on Facebook (njstatemuseum) or check back here.
The Small Explorers Series is for children 6 months to 5 years old with their caregivers. Each month we explore a different theme through stories, crafts, and play. The program is 45 minutes long and begins promptly. It’s held the third weekend of each month, on Friday at 2:00 pm, and Saturday at 10:00 am & 12:00 noon in the Discovery Den. The program is FREE, but space is limited; advance registration is required. For more information or to register contact Kerry.Scott@sos.nj.gov. NOTE: Registration requests must be received by 10:00 am the Friday before the event in order to allow time for staff to confirm space availability.
