Restricted Parking and Stopping

Route NJ 17
(a) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no stopping or standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times:
1. In Bergen County:
i.  In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the northerly curb line of Route NJ 7 and a point 70 feet northerly therefrom.
ii.  In the Township of Lyndhurst and the Borough of Rutherford:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) Between the easterly curb line of Orient Way and the Rutherford Borough – East Rutherford Borough corporate line including all ramps and connections which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iii.  In the Borough of Rutherford:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
iv.  In the Borough of East Rutherford:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
v.  In the Borough of Carlstadt:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits (between the centerline of Paterson Plank Road and a point 810 feet north of the centerline of Passaic Avenue.), including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
vi.  In the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
vii.  In the Borough of Maywood:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
viii.  In the Township of Rochelle Park:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
ix.  In the Borough of Paramus:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
x.  In the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
xi.  In the Borough of Waldwick:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
xii.  In the Borough of Saddle River:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
xiii.  In the Borough of Allendale:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
xiv.  In the Borough of Upper Saddle River:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
xv.  In the Borough of Ramsey:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
xvi.  In the Township of Mahwah:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.
(b) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no parking bus stop” zones, where the parking of any vehicle other than omnibuses, picking up or discharging passengers, is prohibited at all times:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Inman Place and a point 70 feet southerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Abbott Place and a point 70 feet southerly therefrom.
(C) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Arlington Boulevard and a point 135 feet southerly therefrom.
(D) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Astor Avenue and a point 70 feet southerly therefrom.
(E) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Noel Avenue and a point 70 feet southerly therefrom.
(F) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Canterbury Avenue and a point 70 feet southerly therefrom.
(2) Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between a point 35 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Stover Avenue and a point 65 feet northerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 35 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Bergen Avenue and a point 65 feet northerly therefrom.
(3) Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Jauncey Avenue and a point 70 feet northerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Ridge Park Drive and a point 70 feet northerly therefrom.
(C) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Arlington Boulevard and a point 70 feet northerly therefrom.
(D) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Garden Terrace and a point 70 feet northerly therefrom.
(E) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Route NJ 7 (Belleville Turnpike) and a point 70 feet northerly therefrom.
(4) Far side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Astor Avenue and a point 65 feet southerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Biltmore Street and a point 65 feet southerly therefrom.
(C) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Abbott Place and a point 65 feet southerly therefrom.
ii. In the Township of Lyndhurst:
(1) Near side bus stops along (Ridge Road/Rutherford Avenue) the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the southerly curb line of Orient Way and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.
(B) Between the southerly curb line of Baldwin Avenue and a point 129 feet southerly therefrom.
(C) Between the southerly curb line of Milton Avenue and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.
(D) Between the southerly curb line of Polito Avenue and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.
(2) Near side bus stops along (Ridge Road/Rutherford Avenue) the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Polito Avenue and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.
(B) Between the northerly curb line of Valley Brook Avenue and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.
(C) Between the northerly curb line of Kingsland Avenue and a point 105 northerly therefrom.
(3) Far side bus stops along (Ridge Road/Rutherford Avenue) the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between the southerly curb line of New York Avenue and a point 105 southerly therefrom.
iii. In the Borough of Paramus:
(1) Far side bus stops along the nothbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the southerly ramp of A & S Drive and a point 130 feet northerly therefrom.
(B) Between the northerly curb line of entrance ramp to Century Road and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.
(2) Mid-block bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between a point 1,570 feet north of Sunflower Avenue and a point 135 feet northerly therefrom, within the physical gore area south of Linwood Avenue between the entrance and exit ramps to Linwood Avenue (approximate milepost 16.42).
(3) Mid-block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between a point 721 feet south of the southerly curb line of Glen Avenue and a point 135 feet southerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 2,270 feet south of the physical gore to the Garden State Parkway entrance ramp to Route NJ 17 southbound and extending 135 feet southerly therefrom, within the physical gore area between the northerly entrance and exit ramps to West Century Road (approximate milepost 12.96).
(C) Between a point 3,470 feet south of the centerline of the overpass to Industrial Park (A&S Avenue) and a point 135 feet southerly therefrom, within the physical gore area between the northerly entrance and exit ramps to Midland Avenue (approximate milepost 14.42).
iv. In the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus:
(1) Near side bus stop along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between the southerly curb line of the Hollywood Avenue island and a point 100 feet northerly therefrom.
v. In the Borough of Upper Saddle River:
(1) Mid-block bus stop along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between Ramp A and Ramp E (Exit to Mountainview Road).
vi. In the Borough of Ramsey:
(1) Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between the northerly curb line of the Entrance Ramp from Franklin Turnpike to Route NJ 17 southbound and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.
(B) Between the northerly curb line of Nottingham Road and a point 120 feet northerly therefrom.
(2) Mid-block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between Ramp G and Ramp F (Relocated East Crescent Avenue/Lake Street).
(c) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 (Ridge Road) described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no parking certain hours” zones where parking is permitted as described:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) No parking (street cleaning) between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM along the northbound (easterly) side, Tuesday and Friday:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits.
(2) No parking (street cleaning) between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM along the southbound (westerly) side, Monday and Thursday:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits.
(d) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “time limit parking” zones where parking is permitted as described:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of Rutherford and Township of Lyndhurst:
(1) Three (3) hour time limit parking between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM along both sides, daily except Sundays and holidays:
(A) Between the easterly curb line of Ridge Road and the westerly curb line of Orient Way.  The area is also designated as a tow-away zone.
(e) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “loading zones”, where parking is prohibited as described:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) No parking (loading zone) between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM along the southbound side, Monday through Saturday:
(A) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Front Street and a point 35 feet southerly therefrom.
(f) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “metered time limit parking” zones where parking is permitted as described:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) Two (2) hour time limit (metered) parking along the northbound (easterly) side between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM Thursday and Friday, excluding Sundays and legal holidays:
(A) Between a point 70 feet north of the northerly curb line of Route NJ 7 (Belleville Turnpike) and Harding Avenue.
(B) Between a point 50 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Garden Terrace and Inman Place.
(C) Between a point 35 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Melrose Avenue and a point 105 feet south of Abbott Place.
(D) Between a point 35 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Ilford Avenue and Franklin Place.
(E) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Church Place and a point 115 feet northerly therefrom.
(F) Between a point 55 feet north of the northerly curb line of Beaver Avenue and a point 110 feet northerly therefrom.
(G) Between a point 60 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Arlington Boulevard and a point 550 feet northerly therefrom.
(H) Between a point 100 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Crystal Street and a point 105 feet south of Astor Avenue.
(I) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Astor Avenue and a point 105 feet south of Noel Drive.
(J) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Noel Drive and Pulaski Drive.
(K) Between a point 100 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Bergen Avenue and a point 105 feet south of Canterbury Avenue.
(L) Between a point 35 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Jauncey Avenue and Union Avenue.
(2) Two (2) hour time limit (metered) parking along the southbound (westerly) side between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM Thursday and Friday, excluding Sundays and legal holidays:
(A) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Union Avenue and a point 105 feet north of Jauncey Avenue.
(B) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Canterbury Avenue and the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Fourth Street.
(C) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Bogle Avenue and a point 105 feet north of Ridge Park Drive.
(D) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Ridge Park Drive and the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Astor Avenue.
(E) Between a point 100 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Astor Avenue and Biltmore Street.
(F) Between a point 100 feet south of the southerly curb line of Biltmore Street and Front Street.
(G) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Arlington Boulevard and the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Church Place.
(H) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Franklin Place and Ilford Avenue.
(I) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Wesley Place and Hedden Terrace.
(J) Between a point 85 feet south of the southerly curb line of Hedden Terrace and a point 150 feet southerly therefrom.
(K) Between a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Harding Avenue and a point 105 feet north of the northerly curb line of Route NJ 7 (Belleville Turnpike).
(g) The certain parts of Route NJ 17 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as permit parking spaces for the use of persons who have been issued a permit by the Borough of North Arlington. Under the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established parking spaces:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) Permit Parking along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Hedden Terrace and a point 50 feet southerly therefrom.
(h) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 17 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “handicapped parking” areas for the use of persons who have been issued special vehicle identification cards by the Motor Vehicle Commission in accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-197.5:
1. In Bergen County:
i. In the Borough of North Arlington:
(1) Restricted parking along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Beaver Avenue and a point 20 feet northerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 40 feet north of the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Arlington Boulevard and a point 20 feet northerly therefrom.
(2) Restricted parking along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between a point 100 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Abbott Place and a point 20 feet southerly therefrom.
(B) Between a point 120 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Abbott Place and a point 22 feet southerly therefrom.
