The Newark and Somerville Regional Information Centers will be permanently closed as of May 9, 2024. These Regional Information Centers will be merging and relocating to our new Cranford location in mid-May. Coming Early 2025: Major Upgrades to the NJ Tax-Filing System

The New Jersey Division of Taxation has begun a multi-phased modernization of its tax-filing system. In early 2025, Sales and Use Tax filers and tax preparers will experience a convenient way to interact with New Jersey's tax-filing system via a new taxpayer portal.

New Jersey assesses a 6.625% Sales Tax on sales of most tangible personal property, specified digital products, and certain services unless specifically exempt under New Jersey law.
