Saving America's Farms and Farmland: Celebrating 40 Years of Farmland Preservation
National Farmland Preservation Conference
May 12 and 13, 2014

Rutgers Cooperative Extension is playing a lead role in organizing this conference, which will look at the progress of farmland preservation efforts over the past 40 years, see what can be learned from the nation's most successful programs, and examine current challenges and issues. Discussion topics will include easement monitoring and stewardship, appraisal and valuation issues, land use planning for agriculture and allowed uses on preserved farms.
