GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Duties include provision of programming, and outreach, collection maintenance, supervision of department staff and daily department operations, continuing education and training, and some direct service at the Toms River Information Services Desk. This Position reports directly to the System Teen Services Coordinator, who has overall responsibility for the TR Teen Services Department. Departmental goals, activities, and resources are developed by the Principal Librarian in close communication with the System Teen Services Coordinator and in support of OCL's mission, vision, goals, diversity and strategic plans. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic advocate for teens, have knowledge of new and emerging programs, technologies, print and electronic resources, including young adult literature. Must possess excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to introducing teens to library resources through programming, outreach, volunteer opportunities and partnering with other organizations serving young adults.
