Course Description
The ability for law enforcement to effectively communicate in Spanish is a valuable skill that can improve safety and protection for citizens by reducing confusion and conflict. This two day course will assist law enforcement participants in developing the skills and confidence necessary to communicate in Spanish on the job. Through instruction and practice exercises, participants will learn easy phonetic pronunciations for bite size terms and expressions that you can use right away. This course will teach you to communicate in Spanish without learning complicated grammar and verb conjugation rules. No prior Spanish experience is necessary!
Learning objectives include:
- Develop a basic understanding of the Latin American Spanish language and pronunciation
- Learn how to pronounce and say common expressions
- Build confidence speaking Spanish in an effective manner with Hispanic citizens, victims and suspects
