August 26, 2014 will mark the 94th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment that guarantees women the right to vote and the 40th anniversary of the New Jersey Division on Women.

Following more than 70 years of peaceful civil rights protests, the United States Congress ratified the 19th Amendment in 1920 and granted women the right to vote.  In 1971, a Joint Resolution of Congress established August 26 as Women's Equality Day in recognition of the 19th Amendment.

Please join DCF in honoring the voting rights of American women.
