OPD Wins Important Supreme Court Case on the Criminal Justice Reform Act

Today the NJ Supreme Court ruled that prosecutors cannot charge our clients with contempt of court for alleged violations of the conditions of pretrial release. They can seek more restrictive conditions or seek to revoke release, but they cannot charge a new offense. Congratulations to Appellate ADPD Laura Lasota who argued the case for the OPD.
