Location: Nacote Creek Research Lab, Port Republic, Atlantic County Work Week: 2-3 days a week from 8:30am to 4:30pm, including occasional early morning and evening processing and sampling. Additional Details: This position is grant funded through the Atlantic Coastal Cooperative Statistics Program (ACCSP) for a duration not to exceed one year (September 2021 through August 2022). This is a one-year study without additional funding past the grant period. This hourly position is for part-time temporary employment. Hourly employees are permitted to work a maximum of 900 hours a year. Payment is based on hours worked and health benefits are not included. Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel throughout the state. Preferred Skill Sets: Individuals should be comfortable approaching and speaking with commercial harvesters, dealers, and members of the public. Proven communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, organize work, and solve problems following prescribed procedures should be demonstrated. Knowledge of handling, measuring, and weighing of fish and shellfish in a lab or field setting. Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions.
