Bass River State Forest

The Beach at Lake Absegami
October 23, 2005
Noon to 5 p.m.

Celebrate Bass River State Forest’s 100th Birthday! This family event ends a yearlong tribute to New Jersey’s first state forest. Entertainment will be hosted by Burlington County’s Bluegrass z88.9 FM; providing five hours of live music from some amazing bluegrass bands. Kids young and old will enjoy the tours of the fire tower, antique fire equipment and experience the life of a firefighter by putting out fake flames with the help of forestry’s good friend, Smokey Bear. Come out and enjoy the food, forestry demonstrations and do a little shopping with some of our local crafters. A fun-filled day you don’t want to miss - with live animals, children’s crafts, plantation tours and of course the beautiful view of Lake Absegami. Remember Bass River State Forest only turns 100 once!
