The
New Jersey Volunteers in Parks (VIP) Program was
created to afford citizens the unique opportunity
to participate in the stewardship of the State's
natural and historic resources that have been entrusted
to the State Park Service.
The VIP Program is comprised of individual volunteers
and volunteer organizations. Applications for individual or organization volunteers can be downloaded by clicking on the links below. Volunteers enhance
the experience of our visitors in the areas of
education, interpretation, preservation, maintenance
and outdoor recreation.

People volunteer for a number
of reasons:
- To learn more about the history
and natural resources of our State.
- To gain experience and earn
college credit through a high school or college
co-op;program in academic areas such as park
management, natural resources;management, history
and law enforcement.
- To spend time with family by
organizing a family volunteer project.
- To camp at a State Park Service
campground free of charge while providing public
information and assistance to campers and performing
light maintenance.
- To provide community service
and enhance a college application.
- To meet new people and become
a valuable member of our team.
- To have fun!
Volunteers are valuable in assisting
the NJ State Park Service staff in maintaining
the parks and offering programs to the public.
