U.S. Department of Education Announces Six New Agency Partnerships to Break Up Federal Bureaucracy

On November 18, 2025, U.S. ED announced six new interagency agreements. These partnerships include:

  • ED and DOL for Elementary and Secondary Education Partnership
  • ED and DOL for Postsecondary Education Partnership
  • ED and DOI: Indian Education Partnership
  • ED and HHS: Foreign Medical Accreditation Partnership
  • ED and HHS: Child Care Access Means Parents in School Partnership
  • ED and State: International Education and Foreign Language Studies Partnership.

New Jersey Updates

New Jersey Joins National Governors Association Workforce Pell Readiness Cohort

New Jersey has joined a new national project, led by the National Governors Association (NGA) Center for Best Practices, on supporting Workforce Pell implementation. Through this project the state will receive access to national support and insights, opportunities to connect with peers, and tailored guidance and tools. Request for Updates on Federal Impact, if Applicable

The Office of the Secretary of Higher Education is continuing to compile information about any institutions who are experiencing issues with federal funding or other impacts due to federal action. Please submit a brief summary of issues to Stefani.Thachik@oshe.nj.gov if applicable to your institution.
