Registration for the third annual New Jersey Higher Education Mental Health Summit is now open. This year's theme is Sustaining Student and Employee Well-Being in Times of Uncertainty: Centering Mental Health in a Shifting Higher Education Landscape. The Summit will take place at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

The purpose of the Summit is to bring together leaders and front-line practitioners from New Jersey’s colleges and universities for a one-day conference focused on sharing best practices and learning from one another. Participants will explore and celebrate what’s working across the field and on our campuses toward effectively supporting student success.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Germán Cadenas, Associate Director of the Center for Youth Social Emotional Wellness and Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. You can read Dr. Cadenas' full biography here.
