Office of the Secretary of Higher EducationU.S. Department of Education Begins Negotiated Rulemaking with the Accountability in Higher Education and Access through Demand-Driven Workforce Pell (AHEAD) Committee
On Monday, December 8, the AHEAD Committee began their first week-long session for negotiated rulemaking. Session 1 will be December 8-12, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The meeting materials, including ability to register to view livestream is available on the USDOE website. The second session will be January 5-9, 2026.
The Office of the Secretary of Higher Education is continuing to compile information about any institutions who are experiencing issues with federal funding or other impacts due to federal action. Please submit a brief summary of issues to Stefani.Thachik@oshe.nj.gov if applicable to your institution.
