Federal Updates
U.S. Department of Education Announces Additional Partnerships including Civil Rights Partnership
On Tuesday, June 16, US ED announced it will partner with the Department of Justice to bolster enforcement of federal civil rights laws noting ED will retain all statutory authorities and functions. Reminder of Additional Upcoming Deadlines
- July 2026 – Visit the Federal Student Aid website to learn more about upcoming virtual office hours and final webinars being held in July on implementing regulatory changes from the OBBBA. You can also view resources from the June technical assistance office hours and webinars.
- June 29, 2026 – Application closes for FY26 Fund for Improvement of Postsecondary Education Postsecondary Student Success Grant. View additional grant details on the grants.gov website.
- June 30, 2026 – Application closes for the U.S. Department of Education grant competition for Comprehensive Centers Program. View the grants.gov website for grant information.
- July 13, 2026 – Application closes for the FY26 competition for the American History and Civics – National Activities Program. View the grants.gov website for grant information.
- July 13, 2026 – Comments on proposed revisions to the Uniform Guidance governing federal grants and agreements due via the Federal Register.
