The U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs released a notice of funding opportunity for FJA FY2026 Second Chance Act (SCA) Improving Reentry Education and Employment Outcomes. The notice highlights two categories: 1) Improving Reentry Education Outcomes, and 2) Improving Reentry Employment Outcomes. The application deadlines include: 1) Complete SF-424 and submit on Grants.gov on or before September 24, 2026, by 11:59 PM; and 2) Submit full application on JusticeGrants.usdoj.gov on or before October 1, 2026, by 8:59 PM. Public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, as well as private institutions of higher education are among the eligible applicants.
