To mark October’s Blindness Awareness Month, Human Services and its Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI) highlight the important work of  Teachers of the Blind and Visually Impaired and Orientation and Mobility Specialists.

These professionals work directly with the Commission’s consumers in their schools, homes, places of employment, community and at CBVI’s Joseph Kohn Training Center, which offers individuals  who are blind, visually impaired and deafblind an opportunity to learn skills that enable independence during a 20 week intensive training program.
