The NJDCISR program has two (2) self-inflatable shelters. These 13x15 foot shelters or tents can be erected in minutes after arriving at the scene of a disaster. NJDCISR personnel are proficient in self-inflating the tents using either an SCBA air bottle or electrical power supplied by the generator.
Each tent provides protection from foul weather and can be connected for large scale crisis intervention operations. A test of the tent's capabilities was demonstrated during the 2005 TopOff3 exercise.
