Opioid Settlements

Opioid Settlements Funding Will Support State and Local Responses to Combating the Opioid Epidemic

Public Portal

The State of New Jersey launched an online portal that provided any member of the public the opportunity to weigh in on how these funds were used to help those most impacted by the opioid crisis.

The first portal was open through the fall of 2022, closing on October 31, 2022.  A second portal opportunity was available in 2024 with a specific focus on services for Black and Brown residents and for older adults.  The 2024 results are being reviewed and more information to follow.

It is our intention to periodically reopen the online portal in the future to continue giving opportunities for the public to weigh in when necessary.

Portal Testimonies

The Public Portal is now closed and we would like to thank those who submitted their input.  It will help the Advisory Council continue to make informed decisions on how best to use these funds.  Interested parties are invited to submit ideas and questions to opioidsettlement@dhs.nj.gov.
