About the Mentor Matchmaking and Internet Presence Referral Initiatives
New Jersey is committed to fostering the growth of new businesses and startups. To bolster this commitment, the state enacted P.L. 2023, c.166, which requires the NJBAC to establish a mentor matchmaking program. This initiative is designed to enable business owners to potentially find personalized guidance and support from experienced mentors who can offer valuable insights to help them grow.
In addition to mentorship, the state recognized that importance of empowering small businesses to thrive in the digital marketplace and enacted P.L. 2023, c.185, to assist eligible small businesses to find organizations that can help them establish or enhance their online presence.
