Kenneth J. Roehrich
Kenneth J. Roehrich is a pioneer.

A leader in New Jersey's conservation movement, Ken has long been a national advocate for erosion and sediment control on development sites across our country, and his efforts have helped protect streams and aquatic habitats throughout the United States.

Ken also is the second-generation owner of Roehrich Farms, a prize-winning dairy operation with 100 registered Holsteins on more than 600 acres of land used for pastures and hay and grain production.

Born in Washington Township, Morris County, Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University. He and his wife, Joan, have been married for 45 years and have three children.

Ken served as a member of several agricultural organizations including: New Jersey Farm Bureau, the Cook College Board of Managers, the New Jersey State Soil Conservation Committee, the State Agricultural Development Committee, the Morris County Board of Agriculture and the Morris County Soil Conservation District.

He also worked as the director of the First National Bank of Northeast Jersey.

In 1996, Ken received the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Secretary's Award for Public Service.

He also was named New Jersey's Outstanding Young Farmer in 1965 and was recognized in 1976 as New Jersey's Outstanding Conservation Farmer.

Ken's commitment to conservation has been a strong wall of defense for our natural resources here in New Jersey and across the country.
