In January 2015, the Governor announced that the Division is developing an interim managing entity (IME) for addiction services as the first phase in the overall reform of behavioral health services for adults in NJ.  University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) will be the IME with an implementation date of 7/1/15.  The IME will serve as a single point of entry for those seeking treatment for substance use disorders.  The IME will ensure that individuals are receiving the right level of care for the right duration at the right intensity.  This will allow the state to manage its resources across payors and across the continuum of care.  See links below for additional information.  To provide comments to the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services on the proposed changes to behavioral health services, email MBHOinput@dhs.state.nj.us.
