  Off Track Wagering
  On August 5, 2001, acting Governor Donald T. DiFrancesco signed landmark racing legislation, known as the Off-track and Account Wagering Act. The Act provides for the licensing of the Sports and Exposition Authority to conduct account wagering and establish Off-track wagering sites with certain identified participants. The Act grants the Racing Commission regulatory authority over Account and Off-track betting and establishes conditions which must be met before the Commission can issue Account and Off-track wagering licenses.
