Welcome to the homepage for the New Jersey Division of Investment, manager of investment for the state’s public pension fund.

New Jersey’s pension fund ranks 13th among the nation’s private and public pension funds, with assets of more than $63 billion on June 30, 2009. The Division manages investments for seven public retirement systems, providing benefits for more than 780,000 current and future retirees. In addition, the Division manages more than 180 separate investment funds, with the largest being the state’s Cash Management Fund and the Supplemental Annuity Collective Trust Fund (a 403b plan).

IMPORTANT NOTICES

New Jersey has strict guidelines regarding political contributions made by firms that want to do business with the state and the Division of Investment. These restrictions and reporting requirements are detailed in Public Law 2005, Chapter 51 (P.L. 2005, c 51). Abode PDF (19.6 kb)

Regulations governing contributions as adopted by the State Investment Council are carried in the New Jersey Administrative Code, Title 17 Chapter 16 (N.J.A.C. 17:16), along with general investment policies. See Title 16, Chapter 16, Subchapter 4
