We want to hear from you:
The purpose of the New Jersey Asset Mapping Survey is to identify the State’s existing resources, networks, and strengths that address all aspects of the digital divide.
All information collected in this survey will be used to create a public-facing directory which will help community members locate organizations with a primary focus on digital inclusion.
The digital divide is the gap between those who have affordable access, skills, and support to effectively engage online and those who do not. -National Digital Inclusion Alliance
Digital Inclusion refers to the activities necessary to ensure that all individuals and communities, including the most disadvantaged, have access to and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs)-National Digital Inclusion Alliance
New Jersey Broadband Survey
The New Jersey Broadband Survey is designed to gather information on locations in the state without adequate internet access and speeds.
The information gathered from the survey will:
- Provide clear data to guide the investment of funds through the state’s Growing Rural Economies with Access to Technology grant program
- Inform research and policy recommendations
- Support strategic targeting of additional funding streams
Taking the Survey
The survey takes about five minutes to complete and is available in both English and Spanish. Participants are encouraged to also take the optional internet speed test to connect survey data with broadband speed information.
For Homes & Businesses with Internet Service
For homes or businesses with internet service, participants should take the survey online from the location being reported, ideally from a wired connection. This will allow the speed test and other survey data to be tied to the exact location.
