Supreme Court Orders Resentencing for Juvenile Offenders Sentenced as Adults for Murder

In an important win for the OPD, the NJ Supreme Court ruled that a 30 year mandatory parole disqualifier for murder as applied to juveniles is unconstitutional. To safe, the statute these inmates must be given a new sentencing hearing consistent with the Miller case out of the US Supreme Court.
