Director

James Lacey serves as the Director of Facilities Management for the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs, leading the planning, stewardship, modernization, and operational oversight of all state-owned facilities dedicated to serving New Jersey’s veterans.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Mr. Lacey most recently served as a program manager for the Construction and Facilities Management Office. He continues his service as a Major in the New Jersey Army National Guard, where he has led complex logistics, maintenance, and operational programs domestically and overseas. He has more than 15 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, infrastructure readiness, and strategic planning.

Mr. Lacey holds a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University and has completed extensive military and professional training in leadership, operations, infrastructure management, and organizational planning.
