On May 20, the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs had the privilege of honoring veterans and their families in a State Medals Ceremony at the New Jersey Forensic Science & Technology Center in Hamilton, New Jersey. In this ceremony, thirty veterans were honored, and of the veterans received medals posthumously, family members accepted these medals on their behalf. For more photos, please click here.

We hold these ceremonies throughout the state each year, and they are not only a way to recognize the honorable service of New Jersey Veterans, but also an opportunity for our Veteran Service Officers to educate and inform the community on benefits available to Veterans and their families. You can find future Medal Ceremony dates on our Events Calendar.

Are you or a loved one eligible for a medal? Refer to our website for detailed information at NJ Service Medals.
