Jewish War Veterans Convention
Commissioner Solomeno Addresses Jewish War Veterans
On June 14, the Jewish War Veterans (JWV) Department of New Jersey held its annual convention at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Toms River.
Commissioner Vincent Solomeno spoke at the convention and highlighted the longtime collaboration between the State of New Jersey and the organization. In addition to its advocacy for Jewish uniformed Service Members and Veterans, JWV is the oldest active Veterans service organization in the United States. Both JWV and the JWV Auxiliary actively volunteer to support the welfare and well-being of the residents of DVA’s Veterans Memorial Homes and Veterans Haven transitional housing facilities. In recognition of his leadership, Commissioner Solomeno presented Department Commander Michael Steinhorn with the New Jersey Commendation Medal. For more photos of the convention, please click here.
