Commissioner Vincent Solomeno recently sat down with Jason Hedberg, the First Gentleman of New Jersey, for the first episode of the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs' "Jersey Serves" podcast. The new show will focus on the experiences of Veterans and public servants throughout the state of New Jersey.

Hedberg, a U.S. Navy Veteran, became First Gentleman in January when his wife, Mikie Sherrill, was inaugurated as the 57th Governor of New Jersey. In the episode, Hedberg shared his thoughts on the challenges facing leaders in public service; the issues he believes are important to Veterans; balancing the responsibilities of husband, father, and First Gentleman; America's 250th Birthday; and more.
