Locations & Directions

Most of the offices of the Department of Education are located at 100 River View Plaza or 200 River View Plaza, Second Floor. Some offices that are located at 200 River View Plaza are: the Learning Resource Center (LRC) Central, GED and adult education, licensing, facilities, and compliance.   1. Take Route 295 N. to Rt. 195 W. to Rt. 29 N. toward Trenton.
  2. Proceed on Rt. 29 N. through the tunnel staying in the left lane.
  3. At the first light after exiting the tunnel (Cass Street), turn left and enter the River View complex (where Waterfront Park is located). Follow the perimeter road and go to the last blue building on the left which is the Department of Education (DOE).
  4. There is a visitor’s lot between the DOE and Cooper’s Riverview restaurant. If full, you may park in the garage across from building 100.

  1. Take NJ Turnpike to exit 7A (Route 195 west).
  2. Proceed on Rt. 195 W. to Route 29 N. toward Trenton.
  3. Follow steps 2-4 above.

  1. If north of Trenton, follow Route 1 S. and take exit at right for Route 129 S.
  2. Proceed on Rt. 129 S. to Cass St. which is the second traffic light.
  3. Turn right on Cass St. and take it straight into the River View complex.
  4. Follow the perimeter road and go to the last blue building on the left which is the Department of Education (DOE).
  5. There is a visitor’s lot between the DOE and Cooper’s Riverview restaurant. If full, you may park in the garage across from building 100.

  1. Take Route 1 across the bridge into NJ and take Rt. 29 S.
  2. The department is just down the hill on the right and next to Cooper’s Riverview restaurant.
  3. Turn right at the light into the complex. There is a visitor’s lot between the DOE and Cooper’s Riverview restaurant. If full, you may park in the garage across from building 100.

  1. Take Interstate 95 N. into New Jersey.
  2. Get off at the first exit which is Rt. 29 S. (immediately after the bridge into NJ).
  3. Proceed to River View Plaza which is on the right approximately 6.5 miles.
  4. Turn right at the light into the complex. There is a visitor’s lot between the DOE and Cooper’s Riverview restaurant. If full, you may park in the garage across from building 100.
