The Office of Fiscal Policy and Planning (FPP) is responsible for development, communication and maintenance of all aspects of finance-related policy for New Jersey's public school districts. 

  • Develops and maintains fiscal policy for public school districts, charter schools, and renaissance schools.   
  • Manages state aid systems for special public school populations at Approved Private Schools for Students with Disabilities (APSSDs). 
  • Provides all regulatory and compliance oversight for APSSDs. 
  • Provides guidance on budgeting, accounting, reporting, and other school fiscal practices to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and state and federal regulations.
