Minimum Prices that can be Charged for Adult Meals
N.J.A.C. 2:36-1.10 requires that adult meal prices be established to cover all costs associated with production and service of the adult meal. There is no maximum set for adult prices.
- Lunch
- At a minimum, schools must charge at least $0.50 more than the price of a student’s lunch by grade level.
- Breakfast
- At a minimum, schools must charge at least $0.40 more than the price of a student’s breakfast by grade level.
