Trenton, NJ – Today, Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill attended a Veterans Day Ceremony in Livingston to honor the generations of veterans from New Jersey and across the country who have served our nation, risking their lives to keep us safe at home and defend our democracy overseas.
“On Veterans Day, and all year long, it’s critical that we continue to share the stories of those who served and the sacrifices they made to protect the rights and freedoms we cherish. Throughout my career, I have fought to ensure our veterans have the resources they need — and that won’t change when I get to Trenton. As governor, I will champion the new Department of Veterans Affairs and make sure that veterans have access to affordable and safe housing, high-quality mental and physical healthcare, and workforce training and small business support. In a Sherrill-Caldwell administration, our veterans will always have a seat at the table,” said Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill.
