Learn about the many benefits of the Seal for college students and institutions
On Tuesday, November 10 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., join the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) and Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) to learn about the many ways institutions and students can benefit from the New Jersey State Seal of Biliteracy. The NJDOE has issued nearly 77,000 Seals to students throughout New Jersey since the program was established in 2016. Awarded students have studied and attained proficiency in at least one language, in addition to English, by the time they graduate high school. Institutions of higher education in New Jersey are awarding college credit to students who have successfully completed and received the minimum proficiency for acceptable assessments, as well as utilizing the Seal for course placement and other student services. Learn how your institution can consider these benefits too!
